These vintage Japanese maritime teaspoons are created in gorgeous. 950 sterling silver and have the very detailed motif of the SS Taisetsu in cut relief in the spoon handles, as well as Port of Kobe in repousse. The SS Taisetsu was a ferry boat, launched from the Port of Kobe in 1948 which went to various ports in the Japan Inland Sea.

It was named after the Seakan Ferry Steamer that was launched in 1910. Hallmarks on each of the spoons are: Silver. 950 on the reverse handles. This beautiful set of teaspoons comes with its own green leather gift box, lined in taffeta with Japanese calligraphy. Measurements for this fabulous creation: Each spoon length=5-1/8 inches, Width of spoon bowl=1 inch.

Leather box length=6 inches, Width=4 inches, Height from top to bottom=1 inch. These fabulous spoons have been well cared for and are in excellent mint vintage condition, free from scratches, dings, repairs or other imperfections.
