Nice Japanese Sterling Silver 3 Light Convertible Candelabra Candlestick c1930s. Presented is a fabulous Japanese silver candelabra. This piece dates to around the 1930s-1950s. This candelabra is made from Japanese first standard silver, which is 950 purity.

It's worth noting that this is a higher purity of silver than sterling 925. The candelabra can be used in a variety of ways, as a three light, a single candleholder, with or without the middle riser taken out. As the photos show, the candelabra is able to be completely disassembled, so all the bobeches or wax drips and socles can be taken off and cleaned easily.

The candelabra has a little lid which is all silver. The underside of the piece is hallmarked sterling 950. This piece is in excellent condition. There is a dent to the bottom which has been professionally taken care of and this is only noticeable when the piece is turned upside down. There are no splits, no breaks, no monograms, and no repairs. With the lid, the candelabra stands about 13 inches tall. The arms span about 9 inches. The top portion, which is the arms, the bobeches, and the lid, are all sterling silver with no weighting. This portion alone weighs 191 grams, and there is a good amount of silver in the lower portions as well. The total weight of the candelabra is 665 grams or 23.4 ounces.
